Our story
Here's the scoop.
Almost Heaven has been making super-premium homemade ice cream since 2008, and it's still a family business: the Truax family, a production team who genuinely love the work, and the friendly faces behind every counter.
It started at Ice Cream University.
In 2006, Todd Truax and his sons Jared and Matthew went to "Ice Cream University" with one goal: to open a shop of their own. Together they created more than twenty homemade flavors.
Todd became the Chief Executive Scooper. Jared took over operations, or, as he likes to put it, became the Chief Financial Scooper. The first doors opened in Canton in 2008.
With four shops and wholesale accounts across Northeast Ohio, the sky is merely the limit.
